How long does polyaspartic last in Florida?

A professionally installed polyaspartic system with proper surface preparation and moisture testing is designed for long-term performance in Central Florida. The key factor is UV stability — polyaspartic is engineered to resist yellowing and degradation from UV exposure. Ask for written warranty terms with your quote, including duration, coverage, and care requirements.

How long does standard epoxy last in Florida?

Standard water-based epoxy (the kind sold at big-box stores) is not UV-stable and can degrade faster in Florida due to UV radiation and heat. This is why UV-stable polyaspartic is the standard topcoat choice for residential systems in our market.

Does Florida humidity affect floor coatings?

Yes. Florida's humidity creates moisture vapor pressure in concrete slabs that can push coatings up from below — a common cause of delamination. We test every slab for moisture vapor before installation and recommend a vapor barrier when readings indicate it's needed.

Does the heat affect garage floor coatings in Florida?

Florida garages can get very hot in summer. Standard epoxy can soften at elevated temperatures, which is why hot tire pickup is common with DIY kits. Polyaspartic systems are designed for heat resistance. Ask your installer about the specific system's temperature rating.

What warranty do you provide on Florida installations?

We warranty our installations. Ask for written warranty terms with your quote — including duration, coverage, exclusions, and care requirements. We provide it in writing before work begins.
